The Jan de Wit Group makes conscious choices
in its daily operations in striking the right balance and creating
value on social, ecological and economic issues.
Below, we have summarised a number of matters
that assume a prominent place in our organisation:
| • |
Structural
investment in our modern fleet that meets the strictest environmental
requirements, and in particular the engines that meet the maximum
emission standards; |
| • |
In-house
training policy providing driver courses such as ‘Ecodriving’.
Having successfully completed this course, we soon see savings
of 10 to 15% on fuel consumption; |
| • |
Use
of low sulphur diesel oil that is produced in accordance with
strict requirements and that also comprises 2% of mixed bio
fuels; |
| • |
Planning
optimisation through innovative software, both in the Operations
Department and in the vehicles themselves, means our fleet
is deployed as efficiently as possible with the objective being
to minimise the number of empty kilometres. |
In order to continuously improve our environmental
performance levels, we never stop seeking innovative, feasible
steps that will further underscore the Jan de Wit Group’s corporate
social responsibility.
This process is an important tool in helping us to focus on our clients,
working environment, new market opportunities, growth and innovation,
whilst all the while profiting people, society and the environment.
Both now and in the future! |
